Aalborg Taffel Akvavit is a classic Danish-style spirit from Aalborg, first introduced by Isidor Henius in 1846. Known affectionately as Rød Aalborg, it is defined by its distinctive caraway character and subtle orange notes. Today produced in Norway, it preserves the flavour profile closely associated with Denmark’s traditional snaps culture.

The nose is direct and aromatic, led by pronounced caraway with a clean, savoury spice character.

The palate is crisp and characterful, with caraway taking centre stage. Its concentrated spice gives the spirit a bold, savoury profile, while a subtle orange note adds a delicate citrus counterpoint.

The finish carries lingering caraway spice and a discreet orange aftertaste, maintaining the spirit’s clean, distinctive character.
