The Balvenie 14 Year Old "A Collection of Curious Casks" American Bourbon Barrel is a limited-edition Speyside single malt that is unchill-filtered and naturally colored. Born from a "twist of fate" where unpeated spirit was distilled after Peat Week, it carries a delicate, ghostly wisp of smoke alongside intense vanilla, honey, and caramel, aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels.

The profile is defined by rich, creamy toffee and vanilla from the bourbon barrels, surprisingly balanced by a light, lingering wisp of peat smoke and toasted oak.

Part of the "Stories" range, this expression is a collaboration between Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie and Warehouse & Samples Coordinator George Paterson, designed to highlight unique, unexpected casks.

Notes: The palate is described as silky, with notes of dried fruit, caramel, and a delicate, earthy char. 

This expression offers a unique, more robust take on the traditional Balvenie honeyed style due to the 14-year maturation and the accidental, subtle smoke influence.
