This 12.2 spent three and a half years in ex-American oak casks, before being recasked to Sauternes casks. This finishing period lasted 18 months and supercharges the spirit with big hits of fruits and sweetness, a delightful balance to the cosmic levels of peat smoke. This was malted to 129.7ppm, and is bottled at 57.3% abv free from chill filtration and colouring.

Aromas of melon and peaches combine with honey, smoked almonds, orange zest, malty sweetness, and earthy smoke. Soft, sweet, fruity flavours arrive on the palate with hints of caramel, baking spices, and syrupy smokey sweetness. A salty lemon zing is followed by oaky fruit notes on the finish, but the earthy peat smoke dominates.
