Christian Drouin Pomme Prisonnière is a distinctive Calvados Pays d'Auge from Christian Drouin in Normandy, France. Its remarkable presentation begins in the orchard, where a carafe is placed around a young apple while it is still growing on the tree. Once the apple reaches maturity, the carafe is removed, carefully cleaned and filled with Christian Drouin Calvados Pays d'Auge, allowing the whole fruit to macerate in the spirit and intensify its fresh apple character.

The nose is exceptionally fruit-driven, with pronounced fresh apple aromas accompanied by baked apple, orchard fruit and delicate floral notes. Gentle suggestions of honey, spice and mature cider add complexity while keeping the apple character firmly at the forefront.
