Farrside By Farr Pinot Noir 750ml

By Farr Farrside Pinot Noir is produced by By Farr from the Farrside vineyard in the Moorabool Valley at Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The vineyard was established in 2001 on an exposed site with black volcanic soil over limestone, and the Pinot Noir is traditionally fermented with a significant whole-bunch component before maturation in French oak, creating a structured, savoury expression of the variety.

The appearance is bright ruby to deep garnet with youthful crimson hues.

The nose is complex and savoury, showing dark cherry, raspberry and plum with earthy notes, dried herbs, spice and subtle forest-floor character.

The palate is firm and finely structured, with dark cherry and red berry fruit layered with savoury spice, earth and mineral notes. Fine tannins and vibrant acidity provide definition and drive, while restrained oak supports a long, persistent palate.
