Lagavulin 16 Year Old is one of the most iconic expressions of Islay single malt Scotch whisky, produced at the historic Lagavulin Distillery on the south coast of Islay, Scotland. Established in 1816, the distillery is renowned for its slow distillation and long maturation, which contribute to a whisky of remarkable depth and intensity. Aged for a minimum of sixteen years in oak casks, primarily ex-bourbon with some sherry influence, this expression embodies the powerful yet refined character that defines Lagavulin and the broader Islay style.

Deep amber with golden hues, the nose is rich and complex, opening with dense peat smoke, iodine and seaweed layered over dried fruit, vanilla and polished oak. Notes of leather, tobacco and a subtle sweetness emerge alongside hints of spice and maritime salinity, creating a deeply aromatic and evolving profile.

The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, delivering intense peat smoke balanced by flavours of dried fig, raisin and dark chocolate.
