Lethbridge Allegra Chardonnay is the flagship Chardonnay of Lethbridge Wines, produced from the historic Rebenberg Vineyard at Mount Duneed in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Named after winemaker Ray Nadeson’s daughter, Allegra is sourced from mature, exceptionally low-yielding Chardonnay vines and is traditionally whole-bunch pressed, barrel fermented and matured in new French oak, with malolactic fermentation contributing richness and complexity.
The appearance is luminous straw to golden yellow, developing greater depth with bottle age.
The nose is powerful and layered, with ripe white peach, nectarine, apricot and citrus complemented by grilled nuts, almond meal, toast and spice. Flinty mineral notes and savoury lees complexity provide further dimension beneath the concentrated fruit.
The palate is concentrated and textural, balancing generous stone fruit and citrus with finely integrated oak, nutty complexity and a creamy richness. Despite its power, vibrant acidity and mineral tension provide definition and freshness, carrying the wine through a long, structured and persistent palate.
A distinctive, cellar-worthy expression of Geelong Chardonnay, Allegra combines old-vine concentration, powerful fruit, mineral drive and ambitious oak handling in one of Lethbridge's most prestigious wines.
