The 2024 Estate Blend is produced from grapes grown on the Lloyd Brothers McLaren Vale Estate. A blend of Grenache (62%) hand-picked from the bush vines located a few steps from the winery, Shiraz (34%) from Block 7 with a small percentage of estate bush vine Mourvèdre (4%). 

Each variety was picked at modest baumes and fermented separately in small open fermenters prior to being basket pressed to seasoned French oak barrels. After 9 months in oak, the best barrels were selected and blended to create the Estate Blend GSM. 

The Grenache adds beautiful juicy plum, raspberry and cherry character and a bit of spice to help create a delicious medium bodied wine. The Shiraz from Block 7 has lovely, lifted violets and red/blue fruits on nose which follow through to the palate with some dried herbs, cloves and white pepper complementing the fruit. A small percentage of estate bush vine Mourvèdre adds some spice and lift to the blend. Aged in seasoned French oak for 9 months it is a modern version of a classic blend.
