Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2024 is produced by Penfolds in South Australia, blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from premium vineyards across the state. Often referred to as “Baby Grange”, Bin 389 is matured in American oak hogsheads, including barrels previously used for Grange, and the 2024 vintage continues the wine’s signature marriage of Cabernet structure with Shiraz richness.

The appearance is deep, dense crimson with vibrant purple hues.

The nose is concentrated and layered, with blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum complemented by cassis, liquorice, savoury spice and integrated American oak.

The palate is full-bodied and structured, bringing together Cabernet Sauvignon’s dark cassis fruit and firm tannin profile with the richness and generosity of Shiraz. Blackberry, blackcurrant and plum are layered with dark chocolate, spice and savoury oak, supported by fine, persistent tannins and balanced acidity.
