Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 is produced by Penfolds from Cabernet Sauvignon sourced specifically from Coonawarra, Padthaway, McLaren Vale, Wrattonbully and Barossa Valley in South Australia. The 2024 vintage was matured for 12 months in French oak hogsheads (16% new, 36% seasoned) and American oak hogsheads (5% new, 43% seasoned), delivering a multi-regional Cabernet of varietal clarity, savoury definition and structure.

The appearance is dark garnet red.

The nose is immediately expressive and layered, opening with wild raspberry and blackcurrant alongside caponata, forest floor and bay leaf. Savoury notes of olive tapenade, anchovy, roast duck and wood-fired sourdough meet cedar and vanillin oak, with star anise, five spice, nutmeg, red liquorice and fresh green herbs adding further complexity.

The palate is creamy, generous and juicy with a broad, seamless mid-palate. Mulberry and cherry plum are carried by fresh acidity and framed by pithy, chalky tannins, while savoury notes of barbecue jalapeño and toasted cumin add complexity, drive and persistence.
