The nose is concentrated and expressive, with blackberry, black plum and blueberry layered with violet, cracked pepper and dark spice. Notes of liquorice, cocoa, dried herbs and subtle smoky oak add savoury complexity, while the cooler-climate component contributes aromatic lift and definition.
