Wild Turkey Austin Nichols Archives Gold Foil Edition is a limited-release 16 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Wild Turkey Distilling Co. in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, USA. The inaugural release in the Austin Nichols Archives Collection, it was created by Associate Master Blender Bruce Russell as a contemporary tribute to the highly collectible Wild Turkey “Cheesy Gold Foil” bottlings of the 1980s and early 1990s. The bourbon is drawn primarily from barrels matured in the Camp Nelson F, D and E rickhouses, aged for 16 years, bottled non-chill filtered and released at a formidable 120 proof.

The nose is intensely mature and complex, combining Wild Turkey’s signature mature oak character with dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and walnut.

The palate is rich, powerful and deeply layered, delivering cherry cola, clove and dark caramel alongside tobacco and cocoa. Extended maturation brings substantial seasoned oak character and tannic structure, balanced by concentrated dark fruit and sweetness.

The finish is exceptionally long and assertive, with peppery spice, brown sugar, mature oak tannins and leather lingering well after each sip.
