Wolf Blass Platinum Label Shiraz 2008 is a premium single-vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz from Wolf Blass, sourced from the Medlands Vineyard in South Australia. Created as an expression of the power and concentration of Barossa Shiraz, the 2008 was matured extensively in French oak, bringing together dense dark fruit, considerable structure and richly integrated oak complexity.

Deep, opaque crimson-purple in appearance, now showing subtle garnet development with maturity.

The nose is concentrated and layered, with blueberry, blackberry, black plum and black cherry joined by dark chocolate and warm spice. Freshly ground coffee, cedar and smoky oak provide further complexity, with the fruit retaining impressive intensity beneath the wine's developed savoury characters.

The palate is full-bodied, powerful and richly textured, delivering concentrated blackberry, plum and dark berry fruit over dark chocolate, coffee and spicy French oak. Fine but substantial tannins provide a firm structural backbone, while the fruit's depth and velvety texture bring balance and generosity. With bottle age, the wine has developed greater integration while retaining impressive concentration and length.
