Named in honour of Coonawarra pioneer John Riddoch, the wine is produced only in selected vintages and represents the pinnacle of Cabernet Sauvignon at Wynns, combining concentrated fruit, fine structure and carefully integrated oak with significant cellaring potential.

Deep crimson to purple in appearance with a dense, youthful core and vibrant ruby hues.

The nose is intense and refined, led by blackcurrant, cassis and blackberry with layers of dark cherry and violet. Classic Coonawarra notes of mint and aromatic herbs sit alongside cedar, graphite, tobacco and subtle dark chocolate, with polished oak and fine spice adding depth and complexity.

The palate is concentrated and structured, delivering blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum with remarkable definition. Fine, persistent Cabernet tannins provide a powerful framework, balanced by fresh acidity that brings energy and precision to the dense fruit. Cedar, graphite, dried herbs and dark chocolate build through the mid-palate, with finely integrated oak contributing further depth.
